It's difficult to have any kind of official reporting thread or anything because it will inevitably be used by trolls as well.

I just had a weird occurrence on my server.
From start of round until 1st time real damage was done the server console was getting spammed with info about 0 DMG (mostly from one player to another, with the odd random name thrown in, and switched about)


It lasted for around 1 min 12 seconds until 1st time real damage was done (Traitor kill), after that it stopped.
Log file is here if you want to see just how much spam it caused in the server console.
It was the 1st time I had ever seen that happen so no idea if it has ever happened before.

Running SVN v752

Not the faintest idea what could cause that. Maybe a map thing. There's nothing in TTT itself that deals damage over time, for example, so also nothing that can bug out.

Anyway, I can prevent 0 damage from getting logged, so that if it's some gmod oddity it at least won't spam things up.

edit: Looks like 0 damage is already getting filtered out. The logged value is rounded off though, so maybe it was 0.01 or something. I'll make 1 damage the minimum.

The map it done that on was ttt_amsterville_final2.
I looked through all the log files (for the last week), and I did notice a few 0 DMG reports.
They were all on different maps, however none done the 72 second spam.
Then again they all took place during fights so I guess that's why it never spammed the console.

Think at the start of the round on ttt_amsterville_final2 everyone was having Tea and Scones.

Gimme a joint and 3 hours and I can come up with a logical system for karma :D

I have a simple to implement idea- Detectives and Traitors should be able to buy max ammo for their weapon. For the HUGE it would both refill it and give them an extra magazine.

It can get hard to find when the playercount gets high. Often there's just not enough ammoi for everyone.

Rearm the map with more Ammo if your really that worried about it

TTT wasn't originally meant to be played with a shit ton of people. Which is over 16 in this case.
If your server is not going to have a reasonable amount of slots, then re arm.

I'd suggest buffing m16.

Simple add more damage and accuracy and less firerate would work well imo. Headshot damage doesnt need a buff, it's already pretty high

M16 mostly relies on that headshot which can be hard with lausy hitboxes and high ping

16 is this -> || <- close to too many people. Any more and it just because friendlyfire deathmatch with lots of waiting and hard to distinguish teams.

And a lot of frustration.

ServerLog(ply:Nick() .. " took " .. credits .. " from the body of " .. nick .. "\n")


to:

ServerLog(ply:Nick() .. " took " .. credits .. " credits from the body of " .. nick .. "\n")


It's located in corpse.lua (For those that dont know.)

It doesn't tell you they took credits in console, leaves you wondering what they took :)

Had the DMG spam again this time for a real value.
This was on my Fretta server (TTT from GMOD SVN r761)

DMG: MEGA /\/OOB [innocent] damaged DJ Fuzzmaster [MOGZ] [innocent] for 20 dmg (repeated 49 times, resulting in Karma ban)
DMG: {楽屋} Backstabba [innocent] damaged DJ Fuzzmaster [MOGZ] [innocent] for 20 dmg (repeated  33 times)

However Fuzzmaster who should have been killed several times over with all that damage lived on for a few more minute until he fell to his death.
Mega Noob insists he was in Spectator at the time this happened , however I cannot confirm that.

However I also had a weird occurrence during 1 round, while I was in spectator, I got the blame for a death of an Innocent who was killed by an exploding barrel.
At the time the player was killed (who was AFK), I was spectating the Traitor who shot and caused the barrel to explode.
This caused me to loose Karma as a Spectator also..

Gimme a joint and 3 hours and I can come up with a logical system for karma :D
