Tommynator is a traitor!

Well, lately I've been wondering what we could do to increase teamwork between traitors. Any ideas, guys?

For example :
* Planting 2 C4s at the same time.
* Map Clue : One of the traitors turns off the light, and the other traitor use a poltergeist on the lamps so the innocents will be doomed.

No ?

BKU what ever happened to ammo dropping? I thought you said you were going to implement it in a way similar to zm's.

It's not on my list as far as I can tell, but if you can find where I said it it might jog my memory.

What I don't like is the idea of having to get another key from somewhere. Though it could just be numpad plus or zero or something.

Alt? I dont think people have the need to 'walk' in TTT, what with the traitors and all...

Or you could make a directional menu for Q. Pressing Q makes a HUD popup in which you move mouse up for dropweapon and mouse down for dropammo, thatway you can have one key to do two things, and not have to find another key.

Mouse cursor tracing perhaps, sort of like Infected Wars' Human powerup menu, in which you have four powerups tO choose from, moving your mouse in that direction made you choose that powerup.

How about Z, X, or C?

The Nederlandse is in my top 3 favourite countries :D (One of my best friends is dutch).

I also had another idea for a constructive game element:

A traitor (accidently) does something obviously suspicious, and the detective sets him to 'Suspicious' -> which comes up on everyones 'TAB' menu
and a little note is put into the chatbox or Top-Right notices.

Could be a little helpful in packed servers, where every body is speaking at the same time.

Cheers Again,

How about Z, X, or C?

Default gmod binding dictates that X is mic and C is context menu, these are already used. As for Z, 'undo' not sure if it's used.

something like Near where the score colums are it says detective status or something.
and for each player it says Suspicious innocent etc And if nothing has been set says unknown.
I think that would be something to think about.

Don't want to spend a button on it. In fact at this point, it would have to be on F2 or F3 or something silly. I have plans for a radial menu (think L4D voice commands) for advanced options like that, which would avoid the limited number of standard keybinds. Then ammo giving will become more likely.

I guess I could put a temporary ZM-like ammo dropping command on one of those F-keys if people want it?

Found where you said you might implement ammo dropping. Although i wouldnt like a circle menu thing to drop weapons and such, i would just want to be able to do if needed quickly.

If the default for Z is undo then it could be binded to that. Currently Q makes your weapon drop in TTT and opens the spawn menu in sandbox. So im assuming the same thing could be done here.

Seems like undo is indeed bound by default. I'll put that on my list.

Global tags of any sort are not planned.

New in SVN:
Quote
Quickchat sent by others is now shown in your language instead of the sender's.
Decals (blood) now cleared when preparation phase ends.
Added option to disable the Fretta splash screen.
Detectives now use the admin values configured for voice drain (if it's on).

What do you mean by Global tags?
Is that the thing me and HayHay suggested - because the general consensus is that its a good idea ;D

I do mean that. By global I mean one person sets them and everyone sees them. The detective thing is a variation of that. It has come up before when scoreboard tags were first added. I don't like the idea, so the general consensus doesn't really matter.

I think incendiary grenades need to set people on fire like the flare gun. The after-burn damage isn't too large, but the grenade will do it's job of softening up targets. People on fire are much easier to kill then people who aren't.
