You can attach a poltergeist to yourself.

You'll have to be more specific in how you accomplish this, because I don't see how it's possible.

Look at your feet, walk forward/backward (dont exactly remember) and it will attach to you and surely kill you.
It was hilarious when a friend tried to use it on richland and the entire spectator time was crying with laughter.
It does happen though.

Just tried that, doesn't work.
It's likely just a server mod.

It was on ECG, which is 100% vanilla (just has SM for admin purposes.)
I'll fuck around and see how I can get it to go, but I have seen it happen several times.

What is the default time that the afk system moves you to spectator?
And does it start pre round when a player spawns?

3 minutes. Anything involving pushing them though (crowbars, discombobs, getting shot) resets the timer, so they often never go AFK.

I figured this would be the appropriate section to post the following bug I experienced. Around 1 minute ago, whilst in ttt_digdown_b1, as a detective, a body was discovered and immediately known to have died due to a knife. I figured, oh, simple, I got this.

I proceeded to take out my dna scanner, and was dumbfounded at the response I received from the device.

I kept getting pop ups in red text reading: "No Fresh DNA on the corpse". Additionally, I couldn't locate the knife on the body either.
I checked to see if there was indeed DNA left on the corpse and there was. It read 0:56.

Can this bug be fixed? This has never happened to me. Has anyone else experienced this in the past?

Perhaps it's simply some rare glitch that occurs once in a while?

There are two ways in which that can happen:
1. There was no DNA, eg. it was a sniper kill. We know this is not the case because it showed in the search.
2. The killer had disconnected before you tried to get the DNA.

Did you happen to check who killed him in the round report afterwards? Was that person still on the server?

Yes, the traitor responsible for killing the player was still on the server. In fact, he was the last traitor in the round.

No idea then. We'll chalk it up to an odd glitch for now. Let me know if it happens again in the future.

It has happened to me before. The most I know is that, if you keep trying to get the DNA it eventually gets it. I don't know if that helps you figure out the problem at all.

That just makes it even more strange, really. I've made some changes that might prevent it, we'll see.

Just a quick idea.

It is to my understanding I am assuming there is currently no private detective voice chat implemented.

Would it be possible for detective voice chat to be implemented the same way Traitor chat is. Simply communicate via the "Shift" key as a detective to your fellow detectives. I feel the current private detective key-chat can be a little difficult to utilize when amongst a group of innocents when your pretty much a stationary target.

Again, I'm fairly certain this has not been implemented. Just a quick thought.

The idea for the lack of Detective-only voice chat was to prevent Detectives from acting as their own little team entirely independent of the Innocents. BKU said it thusly:

Detective chat will result in detectives only chatting to each other about anything they find, leaving the innocent out of the process and making it more boring for those players.

I believe the text chat was just a minor compromise that's intended to have the aforementioned weakness of leaving the Detective vulnerable.

I hadn't thought of that before. It makes complete sense.

Thanks for clearing this up for me Marphy.

Oh god that is too cool.

Oh also a bug report:
Sometimes the entity that causes the blue flashes from the healing station will remain from one round to the next. So there will just be a random blinking blue light located where the health station was the previous round.

Get off my lawn you rotten kids!
Nah, he's just being 'correct'. It's just JossiRossi's way of dealing with it.

Indeed, it visualizes the moment of the killing shot, with the victim and the killer's positions.
