If it stayed on after changing weapons, then you wouldn't be able to shoot (because it catches your clicks).

Suggestion:
I was thinking maybe you could make SP kills not have last words? You know, more of a silent death. That way it has more perks than just a different sound then the pistol.

It's already powerful enough, besides that makes no sense. A gun being silent doesn't mean last words wouldn't appear. Should people that get killed by the HUGE have their last words put in caps?

The silenced pistol is pretty underpowered anyways, though it is one of my favorite weapons and I use it anyways.
I guess it depends how you use it, it seems more like a chip away at health over time then assault somebody because it's so weak.

Underpowered? It does 25 damage each shot. 4 shots is a kill. That's in no way underpowered.

I believe its more like 27 a shot.

1hs, 1bs = a kill.

The silenced pistol is good because it has practically unlimited use and it's silent. If a person is standing still and they don't know you're there, headshot + body shot and it's like you knifed them.

Hey tGB, just a suggestion but I think making a console command to hide your HUD similar to cl_drawhud x would be great if possible. It'd really help when I want to take screenshots of maps and the like.

1200+ hours in Source SDK, and the Source engine is still a mystery.

Use: hidehud 4

Any higher number works as well.

Really? I figured hidehud was a 0 or 1 deal.

As you can see, he basically split into 2 when he died. Now, he had a Newton Launcher out when I killed him, similar to something that happened just a few minutes ago, where someone shot a Newton RIGHT as they died, then split into 2 corpses.
I don't know if this is confirmed to be the cause.

That's weird. :| Also watching you shoot the ground with the newton launcher makes me wonder, would if be possible to add a slight jump boost when aiming at the floor, and shooting? Nothing major, to avoid map exploits. Has this already been suggested? I just think it'd make sense.

Thanks for the vid, I think I know what's up. If I'm right it happens while charging up the Newton's secondary fire and getting killed.

edit: Hmm, not sure, couldn't reproduce it. Made some tweaks to the Newton that might help anyway.

Myself and a friend found a very interesting tactic using the new C4 mechanic (Longer times = larger penalty).

If you have two traitors, and Traitor A plants a C4 at 10 minutes, and then Traitor B fails to disarm it three times, you have a C4 at around 1:40 that, if a disarm is attempted, will immediately explode.

Interesting?

The bomb timer is not reduced when a Traitor fails a disarm.

For the new scope textures in the svn I had to add them manual to get them to be downloaded else people just got purlple/black errors.
Also players are saying that since the "Fixed Magneto-stick not respecting FVPHYSICS_NO_PLAYER_PICKUP flag." change items are flying realy far when they try to pick stuff up

Gimme a joint and 3 hours and I can come up with a logical system for karma :D

Thanks for the reports, both those things are now fixed in the latest SVN build (r291).
