Strange error. Does it work with dropped weapons?

This is the first time I've heard of the problem, so there might be a problem with the cached Lua files on that particular server.

I downloaded the version from here. v28
we have sourcemod running as well.

what should I do for those lua files? reinstall them?

EDIT: Someone confirmed dropped items still work, only knives.

should I replace the knife one?

EDIT EDIT: I tried reinstalling the gamemode folder, and the materials. No help.

Im not sure what else to edit. would an issue with the cstrike files cause it?

You could try clearing the server's /garrysmod/cache/ directory and restarting it.

You could also wait for the new update, which will hopefully be released at the end of the week. If it's an issue with the cache, installing the update should resolve it as it will detect the Lua files are new and regenerate the cache. I've also just added some code that might prevent the error (although I'm not sure how it happens in the first place).

It also happened to me though. But then a new update came out, yesterday. I guess I'll try it again today. It really sucks when it happened to me because I'm using a low resolution so that screen was blocking my view for a long time. Found out I could click it away with tab after 3 minutes. :D

I'd like to learn some mapping.

BKU, some people have been complaining that they stick a knife in someone(the blood spurts, the knife goes in them) but they don't die. I've not experienced this but I've been told to tell you this.

If they still have the knife afterwards it's a lag issue. If not, I guess there might be a theoretical possibility for a Karma configuration where the knife might not deal enough damage to kill (it does 250 damage right now, I'll quadruple that). That's all I can think of.

No I'm not sure yet, I have to test it, I just mean that the post I had made was stupid.

The issue goes deeper than I thought.

I picked up a dna sampler after a detective died, are innocents suppose to be able to use it? cause I was able to open the menu and such, but I couldn't delete any of the samples or scan them the timer at the bottom would just count up forever.

Yeah, innocents are not supposed to use the DNA Sampler.  So it goes on forever.

Incidentally I fixed that innocents aren't correctly blocked from using it yesterday.

You might want to wait until the update is out before you do anything too drastic.

Is there any way to fix this? I get this when I attempt to change my weapon.

Are you playing on a server with custom/modded weapons? It seems like one of them does not have an inventory slot position set (like the pistol is in position 2).

Well the problem is that I am apperantly the only one having this problem.

If it were the server's fault wouldn't more people have this issue?

Do you have the issue when you play on a different server?

Try clearing your \garrysmod\cache\ directory.

Also happens on different servers, even after deleting my cache.
