I'm having a problem with spectator also.

Join game goto spectator, and I can switch players with mouse buttons just fine.
Map changes, and I can no longer use mouse buttons to spectate players.
Also on map change if I possess a prop I can no longer move it or get back out of it by pressing ctrl.

Re-joining server fixes it, until next map change.

Using V17 on servers at the moment, It also done it in V16 that comes with GMOD.

Allso having weird problems with Karma Persist.
Player joins mid round, has 1000 Karma.
Round ends still 1000 Karma.
Net round starts they have 500 Karma.
Round ends they get Autobanned for low Karma for 4 hours (600 Karma 240 minutes is my autoban settings)
Ban runs out.
Player joins server has 480 Karma.. Banned again, If they stay on server.

EDIT:
Meh spectator/prop possession breaking must be something on my server.
As it worked fine on phoenixf129's server.

However it has never happened on my server, so I can only suggest you both look at what else you have installed :/

Lol its not Op trust me its very Hard to kill  people with if your Stupid at ttt
Atm it doesnt seem to be a problem as many people dont use it mainly cause its hard to get the hang of

I've been having prop, and player spectating problems as well.

One problem, that I, and others have had is when the player you're spectating dies, you spectate his spectating view. This should be easy to duplicate, as it seems to happen every time.

The second problem that I've had(with props), is that the meter won't appear to fill up, even though it actually is. Idk if this is either a glitch, it's caused between client, and server side connection, or something else.

EDIT: Nvm, I guess this has already been reported, but I guess it's good to get more accounts of the problem. Hopefully it's fixable.

Got another problem bug with this.

EDIT:
Found out why.
Release notes say ttt_teleporter_telefrags, when the command is  ttt_teleport_telefrags in the teleporters Lua file and the readme.txt file.

like to see where thay fell from and what building etc would be a nice little feature to give the visualiazer as its hardly used.

Fix in the SVN for the spectator stuff.

Also added a ttt_print_karma admin command, dumps some numbers of what the server has for a player's karma. See if some of this "player's karma not loading" is just the loaded karma not showing on the scoreboard.

Also regarding persistent karma, I've made some additions for players that aren't fully authed by Steam yet when they first spawn in the server. Maybe it helps.

Persistent karma is not a huge priority for me. I added it because it was really easy to do using GMod's facilities for storing some data for a player in its built-in database stuff. If it's broken (on some servers), then too bad.

Got this error with the Latest svn, happens on player join, so i'd assume it would be to do with the Spectator or player auth you added as a fix.

[gamemodes\terrortown\gamemode\player.lua:75] attempt to index global 'ply' (a nil value)(Hook: NetworkIDValidated)

Breaks punchometer, and everything once you enter a prop, so it has to be spectator related.

Typos rule. Error is fixed in SVN r549.

The error will be in gmod v106 it looks like, but it's harmless. The stuff for players that are authed late just won't have any effect. It was unlikely to be the cause for any issues, because virtually every player is authed while they're still connecting. It was more a just-in-case measure.

It's unrelated to prop spectating being broken. I just realized I broke that when I fixed the dead player spectating thing. You can tell I didn't have much time for testing things. (This is not fixed yet in r549)

Great timing for garry to decide this tuesday is an update tuesday again. I suppose I'll put up a v18 tomorrow.

The prop possession bug should be fixed in SVN r550.
