The Gmod update with the new version just got released.

my game keeps crashing as it loads, (i have all the expansion packs including the apartment life) and i am hearing that it might possibly be a custom content problem? how do i remove custom content?

Also sometimes I get an error that tells me that AddNotify is a nil value.
GM:AddNotify() is a sandbox only command, just in case you didn't know.

I completely deleted TTT off my server and ran source update again, it's listing itself as "Trouble in Terrorist Town v7b".

Yeah, we have v7b too. Looks like v8 wasn't in this update.

It definitely had an update, I'm sure BKU just forgot to change the version number.

I definitely changed the version number. I'll look into it.

edit: It looks like he used a version of the SVN from before I committed v8. Which must mean he exported the build he sent to valve early in the day because I committed v8 at 3PM. Even though he told me he would be sending it in the evening. Goddammit garry.

The gmod version is v7b.

Will be posting a v8 download.

Sorry for everyone who has to be a spectator on a v7b server, the view will act a bit annoying. It's garry's fucking fault.

edit2:
Allright, enough rage for today. Some people on facepunch are reporting issues with their server, so v8 might end up shipping after all if there's a rushed gmod update, heh.

1. Yesterday garry mails fretta contest winners about some stuff including that a gmod update would go out later that day.
2. Garry already sends gmod 93 build to valve, it's still on TTT v7b. Valve is still asleep.
3. I think "hmm gmod update today" and update TTT to v8 under the assumption it will be in gmod 93.
4. Valve wakes up and sends out the gmod update.
5. I am disappoint

Have I mentioned how awful random mac10 headshots are at long distance? I managed to wipe out the whole server except 2 people, one of which trusted me, but the other guy just happened to get a headshot with this mac10 spray and killed from from full health in 2 shots.

Hey I don't know if it's known, or if it's true, but I think the grab distance for the discombobulator is shorter than that of the flame, and smoke grenade. I don't know if this is intentional. I stood on top of a bathroom full of grenades(they were all on the floor of the tub), spamming left click, 4, and Q, to throw them out of the tub. In the end, all that remained was the discombobulators. I don't know how items work, but from what I can tell it seemed the vertical grab distance is lower. I don't even know if there's a vertical/horizontal difference etc. .

Just grab some bottles and stick them in girls...

I believe the models for the smoke and incendiary grenades are horizontally bigger than the discombobulator's, but does it really matter?

The pickup distance is the same for every weapon. The discombs were probably lying slightly lower in the bathtub, or were placed differently by the mapper, or gmod decided to be funny about them.

I'll probably mess around with the headshot multipliers for spread-heavy weapons.

TGB confirmed to be Notch.

I clicked on that link, but quickly closed the tab before it loaded upon realizing that the file name was whalecock.jpg.

I've always thought the guns on gmod were a bit odd. Shooting someone in the head with a deagle makes them 'hurt' and shooting someone in the head point blank with a shotgun is 'wounded'. Doesn't make sense, but I guess it's just one of those things you have to put up with. Not that the lag helps either >.>

Only if you're not shooting them in the head with a deagle.

It's basically just like keeping your baby teeth when they fall out, except its a foot.
