Also, I kind of like the idea that a confirmed death causes the exta time. But that way some innocents might not I.D bodies so traitors would lose.

They way I was thinking it would work is that the traitors see the new time immediately after a kill, but the innocents won't see it until after they ID the body.
But as I said there's complications with burned bodies, and there's a possibility that a different clock for traitors and innocents could give the innocents a way to trick traitors into revealing themselves.

my game keeps crashing as it loads, (i have all the expansion packs including the apartment life) and i am hearing that it might possibly be a custom content problem? how do i remove custom content?

In overtime the timer blinks between a clock counting up and the text "overtime".

Selfish feature question: Will there be any original SK/TTT player color coding at any point?

What do you mean by player color coding?

If I'm correct I think he wants special colours such as blue names and whatnot in ZM, but for those that played TTT. Probably by using the same system that gave admins yellow names.

I can't see why it would be needed though.

I still like my idea. When someone dies, the time increases a minute or two later. Of course, if the time runs out before it's updated, it updates early.

The latest updates seem really awesome, I can't wait to try them out. Seems like it'll make detective work much more important. Granted it also makes Detectives even bigger targets, but if innocents actually take pains to protect him a traitor could be found out rather easy.

Just tried Haste mode and it's really nice. We tried to use the new dna scanner and it's simplicity is great, but we don't fully understand how it works yet so we got a few false positives.

I think it was user error, the specific circumstance was the Detective said, "I have the gun of someone who killed another person, get ready for me to scan." Then he scanned the person, the location appeared on the map for everyone to see (this is how it works right?) and then we killed the person who was at that spot at the time of testing.

They were innocent.

So either the innocent killed someone and did not admit it, or just dropped the gun, or something similar. Once we are more familiar with the workings I think we will use it better. I do like that it is a skill device though, makes you trust the detective's abilities but not their judgments. Maybe that shotgun was NOT held by the killer.

It shouldn't show for everyone actually, only the user of the scanner, so that's a bug (already fixed while writing this, update tomorrow).

Given the list of kills on innocent bodies, you should at least be able to verify if you got the right guy that way. But yeah, it only tells you he held the gun at one point, which can also have happened before or after someone else used it to kill. The killer's DNA you can get from fresh corpses is more reliable in that respect.

Nope. Garry & co seem occupied with furnishing their new office and pushing out gmod updates (and being on vacation, as garry is this weekend). Last time we heard anything he was still thinking about how to pick the final winners, like perhaps another test session with only the better candidates or whatnot. If there will be more testing, he'll need to give people a chance to fix breakage due to the gmod updates, etc. Would not be surprised if, worst case, we do not see the results until some time after the big engine update happens (bringing gmod to the newest Source engine version), which together with additional testing could take as much as 2-3 months. It's all pretty lame.

I honestly think TTT should win. It is simply the most original of all and in there play through of it, there were little to no problems they had with the game it. That's just my personal opinion as I've spent the last 2 months looking at the code it also has jumpstarted my lua learning process with my good friend Sassafrass. Thank you for making this Bad King Urgrain. :)

He at least has the finalists picked, because he mentioned that the sticky notes on his window in one of his blog posts was the finalists. The looked kind of organized too, so maybe they're just deciding the winners internally, without more public testing.
