Copyright issues.

I actually don't think anyone cares. Has valve actually ever sued anyone for a few textures? Its being used in a non-profit mod for a game owned by valve, so whats the problem?

Not to judge guys or anything, but Barry is much better looking than Joest.

This, like all maps, are very Your mileage will vary maps.

People say TheThing is the best map, some say it's not. Some say this is, some say it's not. Etc.

In all seriousness who gives shit about copyrights? As long as you only use a portion of content from other games and not completely pak in the entire game, then it is fine. I have used content from ep2, ep1, and CSS in my maps before and nothing ever happened. I mean really, how likely is it a huge company like Valve will just happen to see some obscure map, scour it for imported content, and then track down the maker just to prevent some people who don't own one of their games from seeing a few textures.

1200+ hours in Source SDK, and the Source engine is still a mystery.

They really need to get over it and adopt more open policies such as GSC's with the STALKER series. As long as you don't make money from it and credit GSC, you can use anything from their games in any modding creations.

This map is very fun. It does need quite a bit of work though. First make the guns spawn on the ground. An easy way to move guns to the ground is go into the camera view, press z, then click on the floating guns (that will select them), press crtl + x to cut them look at the ground and press crtl + v to paste them on the ground. This map really needs props too its pretty dull and boxy. Preferably props from some basic cades and to make it more detailed. Finially try to keep the map from getting repetitive. Change the texture on the walls in rooms, displace the ground, and make some dynamic things, like working light switches for a few rooms. If you need some help with other things you can ask me on steam. ;)

Why haven't there been any pushes to improvement for this? This is one of the more popular maps, but it's still... Well, ugly. The power lines seem completely out of place and the feature that they're climbable isn't advertized in the least, nor is it helpful. (Tends to kill you, natch.)

It needs more ~stuff~. More everything. It's a beta map and it needs progress, over cluedo in fact.

You should put some work.. erm more work into this. its way too flat, i thought the cave was just a badly textured room and the telephone poles are compleatly useless and out of place. its a fun map but needs a ton of work. try using displacements. also there is a giant error sign next to the gen by the warehouse, does it do anything important? or is it just there.

It's not there for me, I am guessing you either don't own something or don't have it installed.
