@ LeftHandedMoth: Sorry I don't think I thought out how to write this, I will rewrite it. Pretty sure it was during a round of TTT and didn't want to be killed during the round.

Additional Suggested Buff to C4:

The C4 is now less obvious based on how long the traitor originally set for the C4. By less obvious it could beep less and or beep quieter. Could be very hard to detect if armed for >= 3 (+- 1) minutes. Perhaps the C4 would not show up so visible to the detective when they have the disarmer, when it is armed for a long enough period? (Not exactly sure how obvious it currently is with the C4 Disarmer detective item).

Stupid Additional Suggestion:

The C4 is now slightly transparent if set for more than 4 minutes. (Mostly joke idea, I know how unrealistic/stupid this is).

Fantastic idea. I'm agreeing with worbat on the two minute unhearable though.

This is good, cause it will give traitors a choice, either a short hearable C4 or a long unhearable C4

...Then there was clue...

I like it but...

This is good, cause it will give traitors a choice, either a short hearable C4 or a long unhearable C4

the long one would have to be a set value (3-4 mins) usually c4 is only set between 45 to 2

In the upcoming v13, the delay between one beep and the next is based on how much time the bomb has remaining. So if you put a high timer on it, it will now be harder to find until the time is lower, and if they find it at that point the higher defuse penalty will help.

I'll test around with the loudness later. Will probably make that a permanent "quietness bonus" based on the initial fuse time, so more like the disarm penalty than the new beep delay.

Less than 1min c4s should have SLIGHTLY louder sound.

It's now a bit quieter when the starting timer is longer, and a bit louder for <1min. It's not a massive difference because we already have the beep frequency change.

It gets louder with every disarm attempt.

I think it should get quiter with every disarm attempt. As its a sort of failure punishiment not a reward

Why would it matter how the sound was after a disarm attempt?  That means the innocents know where it is, so it doesn't need to stay hidden at that point.

Well I guess it might matter if a traitor fails to disarm it on purpose to reduce time but even so it wouldn't make much of a difference.

I don't know was it? I haven't really tried it myself lately and I don't keep too up-to-date with new features so I could definitely be wrong.
