While placing the weapons down there is fine line to walk to make the map fun and interesting.

If I place too little weapons, and there are a lot of people who join, people get stuck with no weapons some times.

If I place too many weapons, and there are only a few people who join, sometimes they all have the same weapon.

It makes the gameplay frustrating when people have all the same weapon. Cause you hear a Deagle or something, and too many people have the same weapon, making it a lot easier for the traitors.

The idea I am suggesting would be an optional way for the game to remove guns based on how many players are in the server at the start of the round.

Although I can't agree on your reasons to include such a feature, the idea sounds nice.

This functionality used to exist in a sense (it didn't adapt to the number of players, just removed a configurable % of weapons), but no one used it in practice. Considering how players desperately hate not being able to find weapons, I doubt very much that servers would use it, even if it adapts to playercounts.
