hmmm, i know not very many of these are succesful, but its worth a shot. If its been said before, feel free to call me a retard ;)
Detective: Running shoes. Short bursts of sprint to get away when you need to DNA in peace. Obviously limited so not too much running
Traitor: Chocolate gun: hey, what about a gun with a healthy message? When shot this would slow a player down and bring them down 5 health for about five minutes, only about 2 shots... but can keep pesky people who follow you as traitor away.
Constructive (or not constructive) critisism appreciated :D

Running Shoes? I don't like something as game changing as that being added now.
Chocolate Gun? I uh.... I'll let someone else cover that, as I am too stupefied to respond

Why not just make the running shoes usable by traitors as well?

I always thought it would be nice if traitors could buy a passive move speed increase. It would be so very slight, like if you were running neck to neck with a traitor, he would only slowly pull ahead of you.
EDIT: Or, I don't know if it has been suggested, but maybe some kind of foot gear, or special shoes to dampen, or nullify foot sounds when running?
EDIT2: Second thought, this doesn't need to be turned into modern warfare 2. ): I'm a bad person.

I'm not necessarily against speed increases, but traitors can't have a passive increase, it would be too easy to spot
("but it's only a little", yes, but people are going to get that good at spotting it). Wouldn't matter if it was for Detectives, of course.

Hmmm, lol handy... the flare gun? anyways it doesnt have to be called the chocolate gun lol,... could be a muscle restrainer, or something fancy like that, maybe you have to get close and plant it on them without them realising? and for the running shoes thing... , i dont think its SUCH an advantage, i mean, you don't have to give them a huge amount and it could rechare very slowly. I just think it would be something else that detectives could buy, rather than just health stations all the time. Because its just getting repetitive now. Detective=Health

Bind the default Sprint key "Shift" to Sprint ? . Ex: "When the traitor is out of sight, simply sprint when needed". Perhaps a modded sprint bar from HL2 should be present when sprinting is activated and would deplete after "x" seconds. At this point or whenever the player releases the sprint key, the bar begins to regenerate until it hits 100% and then disappears until the next sprint is activated.
If the traitor feels he/she requires a quick getaway from a crime scene, or needs to race to a certain area before an innocent does, it seems quite useful.
Just a thought. I rather enjoy the idea of a passive equipment.

What about the traitor voice chat? New players that don't know what they're doing will say "How do I bind a key, what is this console you speak of!?/!/1//1//11"
And replacing another key for a bind in-game would be annoying. People will say it doesn't work when they changed a bind.

Ah, I forgot about the traitor chat bind. Perhaps double or triple tapping the forward movement key "w for me by default" whilst holding another key should enable the sprint. Upon releasing both keys should result in normal movement? Maybe: shift + w?

yeah, this is kind of what i was thinking, except for detectives seeing as they only use health stations, but yah... it would work equally well with traitors... still like my chocolate gun idea though XD
