There was a strange issue yesterday (I think it was yesterday) where one client could lag the entire server.
I don't know if that's a gmod problem or not, but it WAS happening.
Should add DoS protection. 99% of gmod servers are affected by a client sending fake packets to the server to just lag it out... |

It was a forumite who had a very high ping, not an attack. As soon as the player left, pings returned to normal.

Then it was a coincidence, client ping does not affect servers. It's a myth with these idiots going around saying those with high ping lag the server, they only lag themselves!

It would have been an extremely fortuitous coincidence that the very instant this person left the server, everyone's ping dropped from ~300 to ~100 and the lag went away.
