How do I remove the HUD? I really need to know for a TTT machinima I'm making.

cl_drawhud 0 doesn't seem to work. Even with sv_cheats 1 enabled.

You could try:
  lua_run_cl GAMEMODE.HUDPaint = function() end

Have you tried "hidehud 5"?
