If we're having a little crowbar discussion anyway: I could make it kill silently (ie. no death scream), that could make it a more interesting option for surprising a near-death innocent.

Err it's not and he should know that.
When I find AFK players, I give them a small amount of time to move, and if they don't I kill them using Admin command.
And if next round they are still AFK, I kick them.
Gets rid of a player using up a place for a player who wants to join (if server is full) , and saves other players from getting a Karma loss.

Gimme a joint and 3 hours and I can come up with a logical system for karma :D

I think the crowbar should be replaced with something funnier, more in the spirit of TT. Like a frying pan or something along those lines with a terrorist theme.
