Nuclear Bomb Scenerio:
Traitors must locate props on a map equipped with a "ttt_nuke_placements_mapname.txt" holding the coordinates of props required to construct a nuclear bomb.
Once all props are found, a Nuclear bomb can be constructed, armed and detonated killing everyone alive in the map and allowing the Traitors to win.
Using the Nuclear Bomb:
Similar to weapon placement .txts for rearming maps, how about creating a .txt file for a map holding coordinates for Nuke Building Props (ex: battery, case, etc.) which traitors can add to their list of inventory upon clicking the "use" button on them. This makes the object disappear and remain within the "Build Nuke" tab which will be explained later.
Once all objects have been gathered, the traitors via "traitor voice chat or text chat" can come together and give one of their buddies all the necessary nuke building props they've located. This is done via the "Build Nuke" tab. Similar to the "Radio" tab except only the Nuke building items are shown and can be selected to be dropped.
Once a traitor holds all the props to build a nuke, he/she needs to once again access their traitor equips menu via "c", select the tab called "Build Nuke", and then select a button called "Construct Nuclear Bomb".
Once this button is pressed, a traitor weapon known as the "Nuclear Bomb" will appear in their weapons inventory. Its world model should be distinct and resembles a nuclear device.
Arming the Nuclear Bomb:
Similar to the C4, once the nuke is placed on the floor, it cannot be moved and is automatically welded to a surface.
The way the Nuke is armed should be somewhat different then the C4.
First off, a count-down time selection should be chosen and can only be picked through intervals of 60 seconds and cannot be less than 2 minutes. The Traitor must then choose a 4-digit combination.
In addition to the selected Time and combination code, the traitor arming the Nuke MUST select a wire of their choice from a selection of 4 wires being:
Red
,
Green
,
Blue
and
Yellow
This wire if cut from any player wishing to disarm the nuke will completely yield the Nuke Harmless. The Nuclear Bomb when disarmed cannot be armed again during the round and Disappears.
To prevent Griefing, the traitor who armed the Nuclear Bomb or any traitor for that matter CANNOT access the Nuclear bomb once it's armed.
Disarming the Nuclear Bomb:
Players must attempt to disarm the Nuclear bomb in a similar fashion to that of disarming a C4. They must attempt to find the combination of the Nuclear bomb by punching in 4 digit codes rather than 3 digit codes. However, be careful as there is a greater penalty of guessing the code wrong. For every wrong combination, the Nuclear Bomb Timer reduces by 2 seconds or greater depending on the time set.
Once the nuclear bomb timer reaches 5 seconds, players now have the option of selecting one of the four wires to cut. However, chose wisely because if the wrong wire is chosen, the Nuclear Bomb goes off.
Nuclear Bomb Beep and Display
The Beeping sound of the Nuclear Bomb should be distinct from the C4 and Much Louder. The LED Display of the Nuclear Bomb should show an animated Radiation symbol in addition to a unique timer showing the time left. Since the nuclear bomb will end the round if successfully detonated, perhaps a large banner of text should be displayed across every players screen indicating a nuclear bomb has been armed.
DNA Sampling for Detectives:
When the Nuclear Bomb is Armed, Detectives or Innocents alike are able to obtain a DNA sample from the Nuclear Bomb to locate the Traitor responsible for arming it. However, even if the Traitor is found, the Code will not be shown on their corpse nor the wire they have chosen.
Lets just hope he was the last traitor alive!
Nuclear Blast Effect:
If the Nuclear Bomb is successfully detonated, there should be a fade out effect and a deafening nuclear blast sound. Once the fade disappears a colorcorrection file will provide a "black & white" nuclear fall-out effect which will appear on all spectators screens. Once a new round begins, the effect will go away.
Nuclear Bomb Construction Limitations:
1 ) To prevent annoyances, in-order to have the the "Build a Nuke" tab accessible and the nuclear construction props spawn in the map, there must be at least 2 traitors chosen. This seems logical since I wouldn't want to enter a round with only a small number of players and have them only go for the Nuclear Bomb Objective.
2 ) The Nuclear Bomb Construction Props cannot be moved with the magneto stick by innocents, detective or traitors. They can however be moved by props if they are to be hidden from the traitors or dropped onto the ground via the "Build a Nuke" menu. These nuclear construction props cannot be damaged nor destroyed.
3 ) Every minute, the nuclear construction props automatically re-spawn into there original placement positions in-case any player decides to move it into an area where they become inaccessible.
4 ) The coordinates of these construction props are unknown to the traitors, innocents and detectives. In other words, no radar displays there locations.
5 ) Once the count-down timer of the Nuclear Bomb Reaches 5 seconds left, the "pick a wire" scenario becomes accessible to any innocent or detective wishing to disarm the bomb. This is to prevent griefing innocents wishing to ruin the round
6 ) If the Traitor Holding the Nuclear Bomb in his inventory dies, the Nuclear Bomb Disappears and cannot be armed.
7 ) If a traitor puts the Nuclear Bomb on the Ground but has yet to arm it, it remains unarmed until a traitor locates and arms it.
8 ) There are no credits involved here. Any traitor is able to locate parts. No items need to be bought.

I understand this seems incredibly difficult to implement and balance, however perhaps there is a possibility?
I'm all ears here. I would like to see what the community has to offer.
Please post intelligent responses. Saying "no" or "this isn't going to work" isn't helping and a clear waste of a post. Please also stay on topic. I don't want to see this thread falling into a discussion about other nonsense.
Actually spend some time voicing your opinion. I would really like to see this work out.

Sounds awesome. As for the parts, I feel like they should be common props (in appearance) or such, so innocents can't find them and hide/relocate them.

Certainly an interesting idea but would this require it's own dedicated maps to work efficiently or would it work well on large maps such as country train?

I believe the models used would most likely need to be identifiable as Nuclear construction parts and similar in aspects. Perhaps some form of an aura around it should indicate this.
As for which maps this would be good on, it really depends. Riches apartments seems good however Country train does seem too extensive.

Why?
Traitors have plenty to do already. This could be an objective to add flavour to a map, but I don't see why it would need to be integral to the gamemode (which it would have to be in order to warrant the amount of work it requires).

I agree with BKU, we don't really need anything like this for the traitors. I think it'd be more useful if you came up with something like this for the innocents to do, put together some kind of device to help against the traitors or something.
Oh how about this? Some kind of traitor checker item that's deployable anywhere?

my game keeps crashing as it loads, (i have all the expansion packs including the apartment life) and i am hearing that it might possibly be a custom content problem? how do i remove custom content?

It's not the traitors that need something to do, it's the innocents!

It sounds cool but I agree, I think that the traitors don't need any more to do. They should be focused on killing innocents not making a bomb but if it was a task for the innocents to do, it would be much better

Its completely awesome but not needed and well i can basically just see this where in certain maps there are Traitor only areas and well they would just place in there as they do c4 and the likes the nuclear bomb and after that its impossible for a innocent and or detective to disarm it.

What a worthy addition to the thread to warrant a month bump.
