Suburban houses that don't have walkways to their doors? MADNESS!

There's no need, lol! I'm going to copy all that brushwork anyway to another map file containing the suburb layout.

If you find the lack of pathways irritating, download the images and work some paint magic.  ;)

That's some really nice progress.
Is that 5 houses in total now?

I believe so.

On another note, after battling a bunch of trojans and backdoor viruses on my computer for the last few days I've decided to reformat and start fresh. All of the project files are safe, however I cannot promise when I will be able to post the next update. As of right now, im scrambling to locate my Win XP SP3 CD.

I'll inform everyone once I'm back on track.

That sucks. By the way, yes these houses are very nice, and you've basically done it all on your own. Since we're all lazy bastards. HA xD

It will be fine so long as weapons and ammo are inside, and heavily spread out. Do not place a gun anywhere near ammo for it. Force players to find a weapon in one house, and search high and freaking low to find ammo for it in all of the other houses to fill up.

Pretty much solves the problem, especially if this map is gonna be big.

Just grab some bottles and stick them in girls...

Or we could make our own versions with the content provided.

I'm afraid I cannot do that. All current content stays with me. In addition, I believe I have already addressed the issue regarding further construction of user created homes in an earlier post.

The due date for receiving submissions has already past and I'm sorry to say that I will no longer be accepting any more submissions. In terms of the rest of the homes, I will be constructing all of this myself. As for the duration in which I will be working on this map, I am unsure at this point. I can however promise you this will take at least a month.

Sorry once again, but if you had perhaps entered the project before the due date, I would have accepted your submission.

Who said I was going to submit? Besides I already have the Suburb Development Kit. I could just make my own version of the Suburbs.

The provided Suburb Kit was only given for users involved within this project.

Using this kit to construct other maps not related to this project is strictly prohibited unless you are given permission by myself. This has already been outlined in the first post of this thread.

4. Do not take Authorship of dev_house.vmf or UPLOAD it to ANY website without my Foreknowledge and Permission. This is PURELY instructional material given to help INSPIRE you with the CREATION of your home. I invested my time to create this home so please do not abuse this privilege.

I'm sorry but you have not received my permission to utilize this content to fulfill your self interests.

I obviously have no control over whether you decide to download the kit. However, I would expect you, a community veteran and junior build tester of zombiemaster to respect my decision and wishes within this matter.

If you wish to utilize the development kit for analyzing exactly how I constructed the home for educational purposes, fine. But please, do not go further than this. All original brushwork content belongs to myself.

The problem with this project is the fact that everyone is going to camp in the open. Perhaps have objectives that require the innocents to actually search the houses.

They can always bug the chicken in my house.

Oh, I'm not seriously going to make my own version. All I was getting at was that I could use the SDK freely to make my own version under my name and credit you for the brushwork from dev_house.vmf and not just that, I could also host it on a server without any trouble because I'm not distributing it through a website. So make to make it short, I've found a few loop holes you may want to address.

I noticed the loop holes you have addressed here.
I have updated the first page regarding the use of the dev_house.vmf. I fixed the loop holes to the best of my ability.

Here's the end result:
4. Do not take Authorship of dev_house.vmf or UPLOAD it to ANY website or Server or other storage media (ex. Flash disk drive, Hard-Disk Drive etc.) without my Foreknowledge and Permission. Do not utilize the content other then the textures which were used within dev_house.vmf for constructing mapping material not for "Project Suburb" without my permission. This is PURELY instructional material given to help INSPIRE you with the CREATION of your home. I invested my time to create this home so please do not abuse this privilege.

Thank you for notifying me of this Tannerbondy

NEWS UPDATE:
Filling up the Neighborhood[color=yellow]

Once again, sorry for not posting earlier. I've been busy but nonetheless working on this map. I have already vowed that this will be completed. I'm guessing somewhere near the end of July if not earlier. Now, enough of talking, here are some screen-shots of my progress.

Enjoy.  ;)

FACT: I have constructed approximately 8 Homes so Far, each consisting of 2 Variations in texturing.

FACT: The map does appear quite large. I may alter the size if the community agrees this will most likely hurt the gameplay.

I have two questions, what does the keypad do and what is the trigger around some of the area do?
