Tell you what you can count me in, I've been meaning to make something in Hammer again, and one individual house shouldn't give me to many problems.
EDIT:
Thus far I have made the frontal exterior of my house and the dining room.

Ok sounds good.
I've finished my draft version, more prop detailing, cubemaps and brushwork modifications needed but I'm nearly there.

I've got my computer set up in my office now. I'll tinker with Hammer for a little bit and see what I come up with.

Some say that he's allergic to the Dutch and that he only knows two facts about Ducks and they both are wrong.

All we know is...

Looks good so far TyrantT100. I do however have a few friendly suggestions for you.

[li]1.     When you complete the Roofing, have it resemble that of a suburban house. (Refer
            to the included dev_house.vmf)[/li]

.

The goal here is to have all the homes uniform in size and visual appearance. Great job so far on your texturing and prop placement! Just modify the room sizes to be of a more natural/realistic size and be sure to modify your roofing when you finalize your construction.

I have no doubt that your finalized home will look amazing!
Thanks for posting your progress!

Add a bar and pool table and all that free space turns into a sweet party room.

I almost finished my house today, but I'm not sure if it's "uniform in...visual appearance" it's so post to look like a bunch of crackheads lived in it. It's not clean and there is debris and graffiti everywhere. Is that ok? I can make a normal house if you want.

So should the Roof overhang more?
Also should I make another wall inside the living room to reduce the free space and turn half of it into another room?

The Roof should resemble that of the homes within this suburban neighborhood.

or like this home here:

As for the living room, placing a wall to divide that large room into two separate smaller rooms is a good idea.

If the external (outside) appearance of your home resembles that of the homes within the above images but the inside of the house appears as though a bomb went off, I have absolutely no problem with it.

Each home should be unique inside (ex. graffiti, wall placement, etc.) but should remain uniform on the outside to preserve the neighborhoods appearance.

So if you wish to use debris and have the inside of your home appear messy, go for it. :D. Just make sure the outside of your home has the same general layout as a suburban home from either the above posted images or as the home within the provided dev_house.vmf.

Ok that clears things up a bit thanks, I'll try and make the roof overhang more like in those pictures.

Ok tell me what you think about these.
The Roof still needs improving but I think it looks a fair bit more like those pictures. The living room has been sliced into two smaller rooms as suggested with a home cinema in the other half. The cubemaps are also performing better but still need improving.

Those images look great! Great job on fixing up your roofing, it looks so much better.

I do have a suggestion though. You might want to add a windowsill or some form of variation to spice up those windows on the outside of your home.

Great improvement overall TyranT100!

Some of the windows look a bit small.

We had to use the same window frames as from the example map.
Needs more windows on a uniform level, and  a few more wall decorations.

I didn't want to add more decorations without Silvers permission as it needs to fit in with the other houses.

You are certainly allowed to be extra-creative and add more decoration/detail if you so choose to. Based on these new images, they look very nice but lack a bit of detail as mentioned from Rotinaj.

Just keep in mind that you have plenty of time until you must submit your house. You still have until April 25th. As of right now, I'm still in the process of deciding whether I should extend the date to May 1-5 due to examinations closing in throughout the next two weeks.

So please, if you want to add more detail and further customize your home, go for it. I'm sure a lot of players would appreciate it and find the map more interesting both gameplay wise and visually as well.
