de_nuke completed.

I sure hope it works. All players spawn in the nuclear generator area, and weapons are scattered throughout.

That's italy. I put most of the ammo in the market area so people will have to go out, find a weapon and then go back to the market area. Should make things a bit different.

We should set up a server to test these all on. Maybe catbarf could help us wit hthat.

I just checked this one out. Looks good, I like the ammo placement, but I think it needs a couple more guns (about 10 or so). I could pop those in, or you could place them yourself if you want full creative control, whichever you prefer.

I haven't checked most other scripts, I'm just posting this now because you haven't made the other two yet, so you can just put more guns in those right away when you work on them.

The other two maps I checked were cs_assault and cs_compound, both of which were fine.

I've uploaded a slightly updated STOOL here, just extract into /garrysmod/addons/ (replacing existing files) to use. The only change is that there's a button to count the weapon and playerspawn entities and report the amounts categorised as primary/secondary/grenade/etc. Very helpful when figuring out your weapon and player spawn situation.

cs_havana:
http://www.filefront.com/15186513/cs_havana_ttt.txt

And that's it for me, unless someone wants me to pick up something they've snagged and don't want to do anymore.

Are we going to do any other mods maps? We might not really want to use them but others might.

I don't think I'll personally start more "projects" for other games/mods. For CS:S, it has the definite advantage that all default maps that a server will have (if it just has HL2DM and CS:S installed) are decently playable. I think if admins start looking for other maps, they'll just use TTT maps, or specific maps that have a weapon script because they are known to fit TTT. I guess HL2DM spawns could be improved, but eh, Valve's maps are smallish and only work for lower playercounts, and for those the current setup is fine.

So basically I think the approach of the other rearm thread, for specific single maps, is sufficient.

Anyway, I've checked out a few more scripts. de_dust2 seemed low on guns at first, but every playerspawn is near a gun, which is clever. de_nuke was fine, though the garage full of random ammo is a bit odd. de_inferno could use a few more.

I've implemented a way to specify that a random weapon should create a number of matching ammo boxes by manually adding something in the script. I think the most efficient way to solve my gun count concerns on certain maps is placing a couple of random weapons myself (probably in out-of-the-way locations) and making them spawn some ammo (unless the map already has plenty).

I just did clue. I know what you said about other maps and whatnot but this map is practically made for TTT. Try it, you'll see.

Here's the txt:
http://www.filefront.com/15187517/clue_ttt.txt

And here's the map if you're interested:
http://www.nipper.thedarkterritory.com/maps/clue.zip

Just wondering, could you make the STOOL a bit more intuitive? Something like, combine weapons and ammo so when a certain weapon is selected, left clicks spawns the weapon and right click spawns the ammo for it? Also, perhaps rename the entity names to what that are (i.e. change zm_sledge to HUGE).

I suppose I could include the scripts for the most popular or appropriate custom maps.

I've been working on improving the STOOL interface-wise. It will now ask you before overwriting and such. I like the left/right click idea, and using the real names has been on my list.

Thanks, sounds like that'll do it.

Not something I can fix. Sounds a bit like a graphics driver error.

ALmost done with mine, sometime tonight. Each of my maps inculdes a little mini game called "Find the Rifle", mostly because I think most players are too damn good with their headshots with it. There is one rifle per map, two of the maps involve difficult to find locations for it.

Try not using DX8, it might help.

Office.
I don't mean to brag but I think I did an awesome job on this map! I went with a repressive and depressing workplace kinda atmosphere. I'm honestly suprised, it looks like all the gun spawns worked fine in TTT.
