Combine that with brushes tied to a func_train and you should be more then able to get a moving surrounding.

Well you can't have moving displacements but theres a number of ways to simulate moving skyboxes.

Oh, quick question: if you jump off the train, could you make a trigger_push that slams you down at a crazy force instead of just a trigger hurt? That way the screen will black and sound like falling and look like falling and you won't just see your body floating along the tracks.

How big will these trains be by the way? Is it going to be one of those maps (Cluedo) where if you hurt or kill anyone everyone in the damn map hears and sees it.

But then that would make C4 overpowered then. Unable to hear the beeping so you wouldn't even know. On top of that, if the carts are side by side then C4 might hit half the map.

I thought about this, but once again, moving whole platforms of people is a terrible idea, even if it's really slow. Besides, what would the separated train car do? Everyone inside would just sit there looking dumb.
Ideas for train cars:
[li]Cargo hold (several of these)(perhaps leave large side door open on some)[/li]
[li]Passenger cars (from first class booths to economy class rows of seats)[/li]
[li]Sleeper car[/li]
[li]Dining car[/i]

[li]Vacant section (no roof or walls or anything, just wide open to the tunnel will some stuff laying around).[/li]

If we base it partially on the Khallos express, the storage cars should be spread out throughout the train, this also means people wont camp/avoid them.
When I meant sections detaching I meant the last one or two carriages, so they basically detach and anyone on it dies, maybe the terrorists are escaping or something, the traitors could require equipment to use this.
So my plan would be
Engine
VIP suite
Business quarters
Business class
Entertainment car
Bar car
Storage car
Storage car
economy car
economy quarters
economy car
Empty car
Workers cars
Storage car
