ttt_shocked an exciting new map brought to you by the man behind ttt_cluedo AND ttt_canyon!
Shocked uses textures and sounds from System Shock 2, which if you have not played, you really really should. Nothing used in this map would ruin the experience though so no worries there. Anyway here's some pictures. Do keep in mind I am in some ways trying to replicate the architecture of the original which was often a little silly.

Concept: Welcome to the Von Braun. You have been on an interstellar voyage to stake some mining claims to some distant planets. The Trioptimum crew was infiltrated by some saboteurs. At the start of the round the traitors job has already been accomplished. The ship is damaged. There are hull breeches all over, one of the engines is about to go critical, and a toxin has been injected into the atmosphere. Unless these issues are addressed everyone on board will die in 10 minutes.
Features: 1. Full soundtrack using tracks from SS2. 2. Recreated props and details from SS2. 3. Three quests that unless completed will result in a Traitor win after 10 minutes. -Repair the hull breaches. -Fix the contaminated air filtration devices and concoct an antidote. -Repair the malfunctioning engine. 4. Potentially might have healing items, big if. 5. Replicator. Converts matter into new items. (like chips into bullets) 6. Airlocks, key cards, randomized malfunctions.
This is a pretty big project and I've had a lot of stuff to convert to get things looking right, but I'm working on architecture and such now and have about 1/6th the level laid out. If any SS2 veterans have any ideas on things let me know I could use some.

Wow looks pretty cool. Only thing I don't like is the innocents must repair it or else they lose, but it could work out.

Keep in mind most rounds don't even last 10 minutes (on default until there's only 5 minutes left). So it's quite possible to win or lose through the normal ways before then.

Looks cool. What kind of areas do you have (planned)? I might suggest some crew quarters with items in them, but perhaps you already planning stuff like that.

Will you be making any effort to make the textures not terrible?

The textures will be what they will be, sadly a lot of the stuff in SS2 is not super awesome quality so there's not much I can do. I am setting the textures to ignore texture quality settings though so if you have it on low it'll still look as best it can.
I do plan to keep updating cluedo and canyon, this has just held my attention the most lately.

I like that it looks exactly like SS2. It's not terrible, it's 1999.

Pretty much my thoughts. I, for one, love the "phony" look of older graphics, instead of the HYPERREALSTICBLOOMINGBROWN of most of today's games.

Difference 1: Jossi's maps aren't in "alpha" Difference 2: Jossi's maps have textures and could easily pass for finished Difference 3: Jossi isn't a hatgang.

Those textures are awesome, if you don't like them your a commie, i know its really hard but it would be nice if you can somewhat put the ss2 player skin on it. now few question/suggestions: Are you going to put the little ejection cabin as a trap or like after the 10 minutes passed the traitors must use them? Maybe it be nice if the traitors can use the security access panels and activate random traps (from airlock to nowhere to the security turrets) or maybe make it as a miniobective, as long security system is up every 30 sec or something like that you hear Xerxes blabbering about the traitor current location.

Do you have ways of randomly locking down rooms or setting a trap where if a camera spots someone it locks down the room complete with alarm?
The chem room makes Kiwi thinks it takes place in medi/sci, but the engine's in engineering. You just gonna make the Von Braun much smaller or what?
The Xerxes thing would make it too easy for innocents, perhaps if he just says the location of random people instead.

Remember: As soon as innocents can kill other people at random without it being traced back to them, they will.

Yeah I think I'll have the computer system be hacked as part of the backstory. So there will be a few traps and interactive elements that can only be activated by traitors. Otherwise things like opening the hanger door will just cause problems from jerks.
