Note that there is a gmod update coming out very soon (inevitably while I am asleep) that will change how Lua scripts are sent to the client. Rather than heaps of tiny .dua files (which is slow because that's how the internet works and caused other issues too) it sends a compressed "datapack" of all scripts. It shouldn't break anything, as long as servers update their FastDL stuff, but you know how it goes. |

I am so goddamn happy for you BKU. This is just wonderful. You've earned every cent. So, apart from achievements, any plans to continue development on TTT? I can't even guarantee I'll continue working on TTT in March. I have other priorities to consider, and TTT doesn't have a great return on investment, unless garry gives me bags of money.

So, apart from achievements, any plans to continue development on TTT? At the very least it will get the current level of support, ie. tweaking and bugfixing with occasionally a new addition. It all depends on how much time I have, which will fluctuate. I have some equipment ideas floating around. I want to keep doing releases whenever I have stuff, so servers can run the newest intermediary "beta" version if they want to, or the slightly older version included with gmod. I certainly don't want a situation where I introduce a new thing and then have to wait a full month before I can fix it. So the idea would be to add stuff after a gmod update comes out, then there's time for bugs to be ironed out so it can go into the next gmod update. We'll see how it works out. |
