I have been building my own TTT map under the Counter-strike: source configuration with the TTT models and Garrys Mod models, under the SDK "MP" engine, but I was wondering, shouldn't strictly Garry's Mod mapping fall under the 2009 engine? If so, where do TTT maps fall? Do the different engines really matter that much?

I texture, bumpmap, map, rarely code, and I'm trying to get the hang of modeling.

Sorry Anonymous, but they would just send me right back here, since it's a TTT question.

Source Engine MP must be new, because I've never seen it. I always used Counter Strike and the 2009 engine. It doesn't matter which you use from what I understand.

Edit: Counter Strike only appears under the MP setting, so you don't have much of a choice if you want to use CSS props.

I believe the only difference for mapping is that if you run Hammer for the HL2 configuration for example, it will be an older version of Hammer. CS:S, TF2, gmod, etc all use the newer stuff, so your current setup should be fine.

Thanks, that part troubled me a lot since both Garry's Mod and TTT configurations aren't set up by default. Thanks again!
