Anyone have any suggestions? Once I finally finish arming all the existing maps, I may start work on a new one. Just thinking about brainstorming some stuff.

The best TTT map ever needs:

- A place for innocents to suicide and/or have fun (Lighthouses, towers and large pits are good for this)
- Radios. People love radios. Especially ones with that bogan country music playing.
- A secluded area where traitors can lurk and kill any lone innocents that might wander inside (Dark cave or underground area?)
- A spectator course! Bitches love spectator courses.
- Secrets. Hidden doors, secret levers (maybe a deathtrap)
- Shit that does shit. (eg. My body-to-melon maker on ttt_plaza)
- To not look like shit. (Too many crappy TTT maps with ugly fog and horrible geometry.)
- To be optimised! Not everyone has a beastly computer. Try to optimise your maps as much as possible. See how well Half-Life 2 runs? Replicate that. The players will thank you.
- To have a proper, unique name. Very few are going to choose it if you call it ttt_shitmap.

That's all I can really think of at the moment.

Have 2 ways into every area... this is great for ttt since it makes it hard too camp with you having to cover two doors and doesn't create death traps.

Suggestion: a bunch of tree houses interconnected but you also still be able to walk arounf on the ground at the bottom of these tree houses.

I don't really wanna mess with displacements too much...I may try like something underground, my preference to a ttt map.

No, it really does not.  Encouraging such behavior is detrimental to the game.
Have 2 ways into every area

This is definitely necessary.  Many maps are completely broken because they don't follow this rule (White House is perhaps the best example of this).

I think a few rooms with only one door wouldn't be bad, but leave it to two maybe three?

Yeah there needs to be a dead end at some point, but say a building should have more than one entrance/exit, be it multiple doors, windows, roof etc. The biggest problem with loads of maps is that areas dont have enough escape routes, so you take one shot as a Traitor and instantly everyone knows where it came from / there is no escape without a teleporter.

Clue is the best example of this. Its a tiny map with individual rooms, but it actually works because of the secret tunnels.
