For my TTT server, should I have the dm_island17 or ttt_island17. should I always pick the ttt maps. I know that obvious kinda but I'm not sure.

If you're using the fretta map voting I'd suggest using the ttt_ version of it and remove the dm_ choice from your map choices, but that's just my personal preference. Although downloading the same map but renamed is a bit of a pain when joining.

That is the most common is dm_island17 compared to making a newly names map, no one will enjoy wasting bandwidth (both you and them) over the exact same map.
