Me and another detective had this problem with multiple C4: No matter which sample was selected, it would give us the DNA of the guy who gave it to us. In one case there were 3 samples, all leading to the guy who gave me the C4.

I thought DNA just shows you the location of the last person who used a gun/item/whateverthefuckyou'rescanning, and in this case it's working fine?

No i'm pretty sure that DNA is for multiple users from one item, like in the realworld you get multiple prints off an item handled by multiple people.

Yeah, when you DNA an object like a gun or C4, you get all of the samples from everyone that held it.

Was auto-scan on? It will automatically re-scan whatever sample you manually scanned last, not the one you've got selected, IIRC.
Don't use autoscan for the simple reason that a lot of automatic scans will be useless because the scanned person is halfway across the map. This'll end up giving you a huge recharge time and zero idea who the sample belongs to. Manual scans are far more efficient.
