They already have :) ironically, a shitty buggy big fat error sign one ;D

I promise ill release it once I fix a few little bugs and optimise the code a little, its damn ugly.

That'd be resourcex.... (ingame file transfer system, it buffer's a lot of players who don't have the files >_<). I'll disable it for high intensive files.

Disabling it for everything except custom materials now :)

It looks that way. I thought he did, but seeing the download, it seems like all he did was edit the code, fix some things and make the swep work with ttt.

Just look at the cached version. If the code is almost exactly the same he just edited.

Just a heads up, I'm also having Liru's problem.

Completely impossible to connect.  Probably why the server is almost empty.

Tried to contact one of your admins who was online but he blocked me and muted me.  :\

They ARE ironically, its my FastDL, youll need the materials from materials/vgui/ttt, BUT, you should'nt buffer anymore, not sure why its happening now.

As for the Angry Chicken on gmod.org, that was my base to work with, but it is rather buggy and, i was sure at the time that it was crashing my server.

What's different from your version and the garrysmod.org version that would make it crash the server, and yours be perfectly fine?

Not quite. I'm still exploring what actually in the code causes the crash, the code is relatively the same, except a few little things edited, like 3 second after spawning for activation(so traitors can get away without the chicken attacking them straight away, which means traitors can be attacked by chickens). It could be the Think hook, since it only seems to crash if theres more than 4 chickens at one time.

It probably crashes because it uses PhysObj.ComputeShadowControl and/or the PhysicsSimulate hook.

Remember when TTT only just had the Magneto stick added and it would regularly crash? You probably don't, unless you were really oldschool. Anyway, that happened, and at the time the Magneto was using ComputeShadowControl (because it's closest to what the gravgun uses). I don't know why it would crash, it simply appears to be unstable.

Physics stuff is one of the only ways you can unintentionally crash the game from Lua.

Might be better off making a chicken NPC. Would take some doing though.

It uses PhysicsSimulate,

Within ENT:Initialize()

 	self:StartMotionController() 


and the PhysicsSimulate function is rather short too.


function ENT:PhysicsSimulate( phys, dt )

phys:Wake()

return self:CurrentMoveFunction( phys, dt )

end


I really cant see what within that will actually cause a crash.

I'll look into converting this into an NPC, might be better.

I posted after checking the code, it uses ComputePhysicsShadow as well (and that has to be called in PhysicsSimulate). You can use that 100% correctly and it can still crash, is what I was saying.
