Suicide Bomb

After long deliberation, I decided to release my suicide bomb to the public. The main reason was because we all had fun with the Jihad, but it was just too over powered. So I present to you, a balanced bomb. Made by me.

How to use:
When you buy the equipment you must right click to charge then when the charing is complete you can left click to detonate. As soon as you start charging you cannot change weapon or stop the charge. When you pull it out your health drops down by 80% and your completely coloured red. When you begin charging you will hear a hl2 suit charging noise. Once your finished charging you can detonate your self with primary fire, be warned you only have 20 seconds before you automatically blow up.

You can fucking charge this in a corner which makes it completely unbalanced.
Not that it was balanced anyways.

I know you can charge it in a corner, however the charging noise is loud and distinguishable PLUS you have 20 seconds before you auto detonate

I actually nagged him to release it after seeing it on MindBlast and loving the balance.

I've been using it on my server for a while, it's really good. But I am wondering why it's giving off a lua error everytime it's used. I'll come back with the exact line though.

It gives this error off when someone uses the suicide bomb (after the explosion)

[weapons\weapon_ttt_suicide_bomb\shared.lua:155] attempt to index global 'bar' (a nil value)


It seems to be the second line in this function.

Hi Madmax... I love this one.  I use it more then C4 now.  We did do a couple things to it... the arming time was too long as a jihad style device conceptually so we changed it to 5 seconds, how ever because it could go through walls the time they are allowed to hold it before the BOOM was too long, so that was shorted to 10 seconds. Example: one problem we had was on roy_the_ship, people would charge deep in the ship so the sound wasnt heard and run to the level just below the deck where there were people and boom, everyone above was dead.

We are thinking about going even shorter on the time allowed to hold it(the arming sound sometimes still doesnt get heard at a 10 second running distance from a group). But we ultimatly love it as a concept and are using it. THANKS

no problem, if you experience any bugs when modifying I will glad fully help you fix them, you will also notice the lua files are well commented so its easy to get around and know what to change if someones not that good at lua.
