Last round is synonomous with 'RDM' because many players don't mind losing karma cause it resets next map anyway. Perhaps a way should be implemented so you lose karma if you killed in the round before a map change.

Perhaps for each player you killed you lose 50 karma next map change?

Not sure if it was possible just thinking of the persistant karma idea in another thread.

If there's persistent karma then there is no need for special penalties, because the last round is like any other round. If persistent karma is off, it's up to admins to deal with this.

Wait, is there a persistant karma system?

Yes, ttt_karma_persist, it's recent and v15 still has some issues. They are fixed in v16/SVN, but servers running v15 probably won't want to enable it yet.

When does your karma finally go back to 1000? Does it persist forever?

It is a bool.

You have to play clean rounds to make it go up. It persists forever. Servers will want to customize how much increase you get at the end of a round to make it recover at the rate they want.

The issue that exists in v15 is that getting karma-banned will also not reset it (so you'd get instabanned after joining again). In v16 it's reset to 80% of the starting value.

I would like it, if things such as killing someone who RDM'd made you lose little to no karma

well what if it was an unintentional rdm then a REAL rdm'er comes and RDM's that guy and dosen't get punished.

Their fault, they were in the wrong, they deserve whatever happens to them. If the guy was 'trolling' and provoking him, in an attempt to get himself killed, that is when admins come in. But many players (mostly people under the age of 14) guess very heavily and often get it wrong, I want to kill them, very much but mostly they RDM so I can't just kill people for killing others.

I mean what if a detective told people to shoot somone, then a guy unintentionally rdms because he finds out the person is innocent, so another guy comes along and is a douche and rdm's the guy who shot the innocent.

Again, it's the stupidity of the player, detectives can't force people to kill each other.

Yea it falls onto the guy who shot a guy on the detectives word, and if the detectives keeps doing it, then it falls on him.
