So every time I make a change to my server I have to update my cache files. I am now up to 75 cache files, so every time i want to tweak or test something it takes me 10 minutes to redo my cache. Anyway to make it so I have less cache files?

Delete all the cache files, restart your server.
The new cache file it generates is your new cache file, and the only one you need.
Every time a new cache file is generated, all the old ones can be deleted and are no longer used.
