Every time I go into a server it makes me download the 6 hint/help files, but then it is not there when i go to the f1 menu... any ideas?

What version are these servers running? You can see this in the server list.
Also, what are the files called?

Tutorials 1 through 6. I have the same error/bug too. When I checked in the help (F1 in game) it was just a huge square of black and pink squares.

Whatever servers they are, they don't sound like they have their files properly set up. You can probably download the latest release of TTT here and that should include those files. |

I was asking for filenames. I know he's talking about the tutorial. And I need to know what version these servers is/are running, preferably a name so I can try joining myself. Whatever servers they are, they don't sound like they have their files properly set up. You can probably download the latest release of TTT here and that should include those files. No. If the server is running v12, nothing should be downloaded. Everything is in the gmod GCF. |

I am 98% sure the files are up to date and that it is on my end.
The files are...
VGUI/TTT/HELP/TUT01
and goes all the way to TUT06
I already tried to use the release which it goes back to v10. The newer ones don't have a release. Still doen't work but the release shouldn't really make a difference.

I've had to download the tutorial files multiple times before too, but to be honest, in my memory I think it was ECG I only had the problem with. I can't remember if it was another server. Also the .ain file for a map is usually downloaded multiple times as well, sometimes, I don't know what that's about either.

I just joined ECGamers #1 and had no problems, it didn't download the tut0X files and the tutorial showed up fine. Couldn't join DNR because it was full, will try tomorrow morning if I remember.
Here's some things you could try:
- If you have a \garrysmod\materials\VGUI\ttt\ directory, delete it.
- If you have a \garrysmod\gamemodes\terrortown\content\materials directory, delete it.
- Verify your GMod game cache in Steam.

Tried all of those things and now all my vguis are gone. and I did check to make sure I allow all custom files. |

I don't see how that works then. All those textures should be loaded right from the gmod GCF, and they are when I try it on my standard gmod client (not my dev version or anything).
