Can I carry that skeleton? That's all I need to know...

All of those skeletons you see are ragdolls, so yes, you can carry them, but they do not collide with players.

Citizen, I must congratulate you on your exemplary mapping skills and as of such I suggest that you change the bone texture, because well it looks....cheesy.

I don't understand why it looks cheesy. What do you suggest I change it to? I mean that's a pretty good resolution, tiling, stacked bone texture that is made from an actual photograph of stacked bones.

That's all you really needed for a good ttt map. Skeletons you can carry.

Just grab some bottles and stick them in girls...

Head-on flashlight lighting doesn't flatter any texture, but it doesn't look that bad. Normal mapping would help (because a pile of skulls would have a lot of depth variations that a flat texture can't show), but it'd take quite some work to create a good-looking normal map.

The skulls look alright per se, but in such a dirty environment they're awfully clean.

^^^ Yes thats one of the reasons, also they just seem flat and smooth, but like BKU said it would be too time consuming to make stacks of skulls, etc

If I made it out of models FPS would drop horribly with only a small area covered, not to mention the enormous addition of entities bringing me closer to the limit I can have. As for normal maps, I'm inexperienced in that area but even so it would take way too much time not only to make them for all of the various textures I have but also making it look good, seeing as normal maps can't exactly make things appear to have holes or "texture" if you will, of the extreme degree a stack of bones would call for. (At least enough to make it look the way I'd want) It's really the best I can do, however I can work on scaling the one in the last screenshot down a bit now that I look at it...

Well it still looks good whatever you do with it.

I've made quite a bit of progress, but just haven't posted screenshots one of the reasons being a majority of it is dark. Here however is an ominous screenshot of a very small scale private test I did with 3 other people:

Chrome and Firefox say this thread is VIRUS.

I clicked on that link, but quickly closed the tab before it loaded upon realizing that the file name was whalecock.jpg.

Someone posted links to malware on facepunch, and the googlebot threw a fit and tagged the entirety of facepunch as an attack site, and therefore it seems anyone who links to facepunch is also an attack site maybe? It's dumb anyway. The bad links on FP have been removed, so everything should be back to normal once google updates things.
