I would suggest you update your posts on your forums. The TTT MOTD topic claims that you have a points system and in-game store (though this was from a few months ago), and from your post here, it would seem that that is no longer the case.
Last year I experimented with using only holiday maps on Christmas and a few of the days surrounding it. I don't think we really had enough of them to keep things interesting, but if you do, I like the idea. I believe we used that Christmas town RP map (rearmed), some Nipper Christmas map, and maybe another map or two. I would suggest just using anything decent with snow on it. You could do the ones I have described plus cs_office, the two The Thing maps, and probably a few others that I'm forgetting.
It's always nice to see another vanilla server, though. Good luck to you.

I'm sorry, but that's an awful idea. I make use of both commands extensively, and I have my reasons for using "I'm with" at great distances and "I see" at close distances occasionally. For one thing, sometimes you can be close to someone without actually being with them--perhaps there is some obstacle between you two, but you can still target the other player. There's also obviously the deception factor. You can scare off traitors by making it look like you're not alone, and you can pretend to conveniently be with someone you're framing as a traitor. Sometimes it's useful to scare a suspected traitor by claiming you're with them from afar; they may become paranoid or otherwise distracted from their work. Also, being "with" someone means different things in different situations. It can imply traveling with the other player or working together with him/her. There's no sense to changing the two. They're both very useful as they are.

Yeah, it isn't vanilla but in reality it is as vanilla as it comes.
Not true. Most of my TTT gameplay has been spent in vanilla knife servers, meaning either instakill or not depending on the release version. I'm not going to argue with you about the merits of the current knife, as it has been done so many times before, but I personally hate stumbling into a "vanilla" server only to find that the only way it can be construed as "vanilla" is in its adherence to the general expectations, meaning modded knife among possibly other overdone things (large max player count, haste mode off, etc). When I want to visit a vanilla server, I want it to be vanilla in the absolute sense, not the relative.

if so, Why the fuck are you making a new community?
Why don't we ignore pointless community drama and just talk about relevant things (server policies, content, etc)? Also, why are you always posting a second message immediately after your first one? You realize there is an edit button, don't you?

No. Say I am a traitor I pull a knife on you and you headshot me. I die and then I say you RDMd me. You say I had a knife out but you cannot prove it.
This is why admins don't take action unless they witnessed the violation. It is a non-issue, and people that complained about it really annoyed me when I owned a server.

I'm thinking more of something more ambient, something from Video Co-Pilots ambient tracks. I'm not sure but i'll post the sound bite here once I do figure it out.
Don't worry; it was a joke. Rocking the boat sounds kind of like rocking the vote. It would get old quite quickly.

You brought it up: it's your job to prove it. Also, disregarding the damage log as sufficient evidence or a sufficient tool for admins is excessive. Under your rule servers would never be able to ban anyone because expecting players to record each and every round of their entire night is foolhardy.
No, when I owned a server, we just usually had admins playing. They can see things and take action, you know. It's really no big deal if they miss a few violations. The people that deserve to be banned are almost always repeat offenders, and we almost always catch them early. Very rarely did we ever need to use the damage log. Anyways, if you care so much about the statement, look it up. It's not my "job" to quote BKU; I really don't care if you trust what I said or not.

The best TTT map ever needs: - A place for innocents to suicide
No, it really does not. Encouraging such behavior is detrimental to the game. Have 2 ways into every area
This is definitely necessary. Many maps are completely broken because they don't follow this rule (White House is perhaps the best example of this).

It almost never ends good when an innocent plays detective... Half the innocents seem to somehow die in the process.
Innos are supposed to be playing detective. They just don't have the extra equipment. OP, I think you might want to check out Epic Mafia. It's not an FPS, but it has a bunch of roles. In the good setups, it requires a lot of thinking. TTT is more dependent on reflexes; EM is more dependent on scum hunting and mechanics.

If you can get the links to those discussions we could look into them at greater depth. I believe that removing the changelog is an extremist point of view as no one wants to sit in spectator babysitting every single round. Even if you have an admin or two in spectator they aren't going to see everything.
I would like to either see this added to the changelog, or, if it is truly easy to log, have something on http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/ that server admins can easily download and install. I've had to rewrite/edit/hardcode too many things into server scripts over the years. I'll avoid it like the plague as much as I can.
I'm sorry, but I don't remember what topic it was and I'm really not invested in the issue. I also believe that the damagelog is relied upon too much. If you miss something, you just don't take action unless someone recorded it. Regardless, ask BKU or look it up.

Oh, now I feel like a derp. :( When I hear F keys I think of the F1-12. Oh well.
Right. Typically on laptops, these keys do something different when you hold the "fn" down when pressing them--brightness down/up, volume down/up/mute, sleep, etc. His problem seems to be that the functions are inverted, meaning the F keys are read as shortcuts to the aforementioned functions rather than F1, F2, etc keystrokes.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the function (fn) alternate uses for the F keys being in place of the traditional F key functions--that is, the F keys are for brightness, sound, etc rather than for whatever the F keys are bound for unless "fn" is held while pressing the F key; it is toggled. I have dealt with this issue before. This explains the issue rather well. If the lock keys don't work for you, try the BIOS. I don't remember what I did to fix it, but it involved the control panel, and I can't find the article I used now.

Get out.
I agree with him; I don't like it either. It's a nice looking map, but it's not balanced at all for TTT. Traitors can completely demolish the innocents using C4 on Clue, and the ability to turn the lights off doesn't help either.
