Now I don't know about you, but often when you are RDMd as a traitor, it can be annoying when they pull the old "You pulled a knife" or "I saw a jihad".
Not only can these be completely false, but they often cannot be proved unless you go through the lengthy process of grabbing your demo, posting it on here for an admin to see, then show how you were RDMd. But that is on the basis that you recorded anyway.
What would perhaps be more efficeint is an improvement to the damagelogs that show simply when traitors buy weapons like jihads and knives, and if possible, even if and when they equip them. I thought it would help get those RDMing bastards on the spot, rather then shove it off or give them the benefit of the doubt.
Please feedback on if this is impossible to develop or if there is something wrong, thanks!

I do agree there should be an improvement to the Damage Logs, although showing "When they equipped" would take up too much space.
Suggestion to the Damagelogs:
[] Show all Credits spent, IE. Traitor buys Knife, show in Damagelog (Traitor NAME) uses (Number of Credits) to buy (Weapon).
[] Possibly replace the GLOBAL time for Damagelogs with ROUND time?

What we need is a record of everytime a player primary fires. That wont take up much space...

People spamming the HUGE to waste it's bullets / create sound. 150 bullets. 150 lines of text. Nuff said.

The whole When you have bought a knife out. it records it has been suggestions and has been shot down.
for the reason that Anyone could easily make a macro to spam it and effectivly do stuff(to tired) to explain further.

Perhaps true yes, equiping would not record in the logs, but I still think the idea of recording weapon purchases is essential to stopping those people who randomly accuse based on the "he had a knife" trick.

I was joking before btw. The only way the primary fire would be usefull is if it recorded a shot fired every 5 seconds (or something along those lines).
At the end of the day you will still get an indication of who fired first as people constantly claim he shot at me and just "missed".
Also the HUGE would not give 150 lines of text as you do not press primary fire 150 times? - Its fire rate is more than one bullet per press?

Not a reliable one. Shooting does not necessarily mean shooting at someone. The player could be shooting at props or at nothing at all. Unless an admin witnessed it or it was recorded, it makes no difference.

If you see
[10:45:01] Bigbadboo shot
[10:45:02] Player shot
[10:45:02] Player [inocent] killed Bigbadboo [traitor]
If Player claimed he had not RDM'ed me as I shot at him first this would "slightly" back up his story. In the current system, despite me firing first I could of missed. Therefore it would show that Player attacked me first in the damagelogs.

Yes, I already know what you're getting at, but the fact of the matter is that all you're learning is that Player A shot before Player B, not when and where. It may serve as a
slight
improvement, but ultimately better forum administration is what is needed. Having trusted witnesses or recording demos actually
solves
the problem; spamming the console does not. Anyways, the current karma system is just fine for these situations. If such players kill traitors this way, they probably also kill their fair share of innocents. Just have admins punish those that actually RDM (as in
random
deathmatch, not killing with weak evidence and having the traitors get butthurt) and bait. However, I do agree that equipment purchases should be recorded, as that would involve far fewer entries.

It would still be useful - Especially when people give the reason 'he shot at me', you would be able to see if the player actually shot or not.
Ultimately it shouldnt have to be down to the players to constantly record demos and write forum reports, the admins and server owners should getting rid of undesirables without as many players having to go through the hassle.
We should definitely have logging on equipment buying at least, logging a shot every so often would at least give us some more information as to whether they at least had some sort of reason to kill.

I find that players that attempt to RDM or bait without an admin seeing them are only a problem if done multiple times, therefore increasing the probability that they will be seen by an admin. Honestly, logging even a portion of all the gunfire doesn't help and is an unrealistic suggestion--what is the admin going to do to the player? Ban them for one offense? It really makes no difference; all a server needs to do is just ban all the scum that comes.

I guess, would still be nice to see special item purchases on the logs though.

I support having things like
TTT: Player 1 bought knife.
TTT: Player 1 equipped knife.
TTT: Player 2 killed Player 1
TTT: Player 1: RDM!!!
TTT: Player 2: No u had knife out
Maybe the equipted messages should be set on a timer so that spam wouldn't be a problem.
