I recently started renting a gmod server, and after some prodding by friends, have decided to start running TTT on it. Annoyingly, though, after installing the files, I get the error "The server you are trying to connect to is running an older version of the game" when connecting to the server. I was using the most recent files on the site. Afterwards I shut down my server and put the SVN files onto the server. I'm still getting the same error. What's causing this?

The latest gmod update. Go on your gamepanel and click Steam Update.

Stop the server. Do the same hlsdsupdatetool command as you did too install it.

You started renting a gameserver from a GSP, so you should have got an administration panel where you can login and do all sorts of funky stuff to your server. Well in there theres a neat function called "Steam Update"
