Is there a way that on the fretta voting system i can stop players from choosing the same map for example, going through a cycle of about 5 maps only out of the variety we have.

Basically put is there a convar that means maps played within x amount of map changes will not be placed into the map voting at the end of a round?

No, there is no convar that does this.

Adding this would be quite a bit work, database stuff would be involved, etc. The one upside is that I think it would be possible to do this without modifying Fretta directly. I could explain the concept if someone is interested in giving it a shot.
