Yeah, but there's not always somewhere to drop it. And I know some people who seeing you without a primary after seeing you with one earlier is enough to get your face blown off.

And I thought the radio was busted, last time I tried to use it I got no model (I looked like I had no weapon out, as if I was holstered. I may have had the world model out, but I dunno), and it didn't work, just rattling off a spam of lua errrors.

But yeah, it could be useful, or useLESS, it would depend on the player.

DARNIT POST WHILE I WAS POSTING!

Yeah, but that's pretty unreliable as it is, to a certain extent, because there's more than one of each weapon, and if you have six guys, all with shotguns, it dosen't help much, if you know what I mean. Not only that, as has been mentioned earlier, you can always switch weapons.

Again, I suppose this is an alternitive to dropping your gun and finding a new one, but that's not always a very good option, again, if you know what I mean.

So you're a traitor, and you gun somebody down, and run off. Then someone id's the body, and says:
He was killed with a mac-10!
Then YOU realize:
Oh tart, I'm the only one with a mac-10!
Guys are on your tail, you have nowhere to dump the gun for a new one, you're screwed!
Enter the Feint Weapon!
With the Feint Weapon, your Mac-10 sounds like an M-16 (or if possible, any gun on the server.)! It also leaves a fake kill marker: It will say he was killed with whatever weapon the Feint Weapon was sounding like. Mind you, the sounds occour at the proper rate, so it won't sound like the sound of an M-16 played at the rate of a Mac-10.

PROS:
Imitates the sound of another weapon.

CONS:
Takes your primary slot, forcing you to use the Mac-10 weapon it's based on, or drop it, having wasted the credit.
Makes you use a close quarters weapon.
Won't help you at all if someone says "let me check your weapon".

That's a thought. I'd make the traitor stay on his toes.

Perhaps this can be implemented but without the traitor gaining the ability to chat in there victims name? takes out mic spam & chat abuse possibilities, reduces usefulness of the disguiser to make it balanced.

I think it could work but is it still worth 2 credits at this level?

The two credit cost is to offset the ability to play as someone else. Just kill someone or something where people can see, run a bit, disable it, and bam, they aren't looking for you, they're looking for  -treShErMaNert- Or some wierd-arsely named person like that. That's just an example.
And the problem is disabling their chat function would make it to the point where "he is talking at all even when asked something so he's the traitor *mac-10*". It'd be to obvious.

But you're not asking it of just ordinary gamers, your asking it of admins/moderators, who should (through their status) have proven they have at LEAST the dedication to hunker down and handle people who would abuse something like this.
And someone said something about the player's name not changing in the logs, I can't imagine any issues with this. All it has to do is change their display name to fool players. Or something like that....
stupidest thing ive ever heard if u need ti change ur name just to kill someone how about you uninstall gmod and leave ttt for ever

Oh really? I might be inclined to agree with you if I could READ WHAT THE HECK YOU'RE SAYING.
If you're going to troll, at least take FIVE SECONDS to type out a legible sentence. After all, there's no point in trollin' if people can't TELL yer' trollin'.

You could always....aw...can't mute them, sence that would become a dead giveaway real fast.  Hm.....
I'll have to think about this some more.... Might be able to think of a way around that particular issue....
