NEW TRAITOR ITEM IDEA: THE WEAPON DISGUISER
-This item would do just as the name suggests, and disguise the designated weapon of a traitor by changing the World Model of the Traitor's weapon.
-It could disguise special weapons (C4, knives, silenced pistols, etc.), letting traitors run around with these weapons without the innocents knowing.
-It could also disguise normal weapons, so when a detective says "THIS GUY WAS KILLED WITH A SHOTGUN!WHO HAS A SHOTGUN??" the traitor could quickly disguise his shotgun as a rifle or M16.
-It wouldn't be one-time-use, it would be on a timer, and could only be used X minutes after one use.
-It can't be used forever, as soon as a weapon is used or switched, the disguiser wears off and can't be used for X minutes. It would work like disguises in TF2. (When a spy shoots the revolver or attacks with a knife, the disguise wears off).

So what do you guys think? constructive criticism please, it's just an idea.

Agreed.
People will walk around shooting all the bodies, so it just wouldn't work.
But I still like the DR idea :D

Does anyone want to help bring it into pseudo-reality?

I'm still a noob at GMod programming and map making and all that... if I could help I would, but like Tyrant said, there has to be SOMEONE here who can help.

Also, when/if you finish it, I'd love to join your server and try the dead ringer out :D

garrysmod/materials/VGUI/ttt/

You will have them even if you've only joined a TTT server, though it can be a good idea to download the TTT .zip so you have the latest versions. They're in VTF format.

I've been digging through the files from the TTT pack, but I can't find them anywhere :(. I think I'll just go into a TTT server and search some bodies and screenshot the symbols, that should be good enough. Thanks anyway tho :D

Sounds like a fine idea to me but you'd still want footsteps ect, also maybe when they de-cloak your visible for a few secs before you can shoot so you cant do what Worbat said.
Also I think when a innocent checks the corpse it should say, this body is clearly a very clever fake, the traitor who dropped it may still be alive.


I like the idea of "This body is clearly fake...", it would make it more fair.

Also, there should be a timer on the cloak (like in TF2) so you can't just sit in a corner invisible waiting for someone to come by.

I need the pictures for the symbols for each TTT class for a new map I'm making. (The ones that show up when searching a body that show what that person was, or the "t" over fellow traitors' heads). If anyone has the pictures (in ANY format) I would greatly appreciate it. But, I would like it even more if someone could tell me what folder those would be in in my GMod folder...

*EDIT*  I have an "I" or the innocents, but that's all. I still need a "D" and "T" if anyone can get it/ show me where to get it (And a highier quality "I" would be nice, too ;) )
