An odd item to discuss, I know.

I mostly just want to know how the innocents can get legitimate use out of it. At least with an incendiary grenade, you can block off an exit for a camping traitor. I've never seen an innocent seriously use a discombobulator. They're either randomly thrown for a laugh or thrown with the sole intent of griefing on a map like, say, Canyon.

As it stands, I'd love to see the discombobulator be a free traitor item that could be bought once or twice. I really don't feel that innocents can get much use out of them, but again, that's why I'm asking if anyone has found a legitimate use for them as an innocent other than disruption (Something an incendiary can pretty much accomplish as well)

Oh, that's a better idea. Duct tape definitely isn't realistic enough, someone could just take that off. How about something that affects their literal human ability to talk permanently? I figure something that blocks their vocal cords or throat. What if you stuck a piece of metal in there? That'd work. It would have to be sharp and small, so you could conceal it and use it quickly. Maybe have a sharp pointy piece at the end of a handle. That way you could stick it into them quickly and silently. It'd be one use too, like you said.

We'll call it a knife.


Duct tape with super glue on it.

Clearly this is the best idea.

Also effective, but I've had people follow me the entire game, ready to type "It's Derp if I die!" and fuck me over.

It would be amusing to change the last works to "MPMHPRHMRHPM" or something.

Goes in the traitor weapon slot, have to be in front of them for it to work, and disables text and voice chat for ten seconds?

I'd probably use it on occasions, good for people who follow you excessively.

I'd like to see the Detective getting a sort of first-aid kit.

Single use, gives the person it's used on full health, and he can use it on anyone other than himself.

Seems like it would have some uses, but not tip the balance of the game too badly.

It'd also be cool if he could get a special pistol. Maybe something with a three-round burst? (Honestly I'd like to see that just applied to the pistol in general, I may be wrong but it seems woefully underpowered.)
