Seems a bit small, what type of server size is this map targeting ?
I might be mistaken, but I think it's like the Hive from Resident Evil movies. Where there is a small house on top, but underneath a large network. A better example might be Lost Temple.

Whats stopping you from taking a shot and teleporting away before they can find you?
It's not really the same thing. You would still have to expose yourself to shoot someone even with a disguise on, or teleporting. The corner shot allows you to shoot with cover, and your target unable to get a clear shot. Also, if your seen with any traitor weapon it's insta proof your a traitor.

The problem I see with this is people shooting and quickly switching it out so you can't see where it came from. Otherwise I like the idea.
I guess a way to limit it might to put battery meter on it, and have it recharge after being used for an extended period of time. The actual gun has chargeable lithium batteries for the camera, so it makes sense to add this feature balancing it.

If you seen the movie Wanted there is a wonderful scene where Angelina Jolie shoots up a grocery store with a camera mounted weapon that lets her shoot around corners, and this gun exists it's called the corner shot. The corner shot would be a traitor that is just be a regular pistol that can shoot around a corner. Also, it can allow traitors to peak around corners. That simple.
A nice video from Future Weapons goes into detail about the corner shot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RaubAtWZQM
Technical Specs of the gun (I'm not suggesting it needs to be exactly the same): http://www.cornershot.com/default.asp?catid={A1DD3745-5BFC-4EBA-A94A-FB490B3E92DA}

I would prefer a date rape drug, as I could do whatever to their unconscious body... :shh:
Seriously though you would have to buy pepper spray, and then a knife to kill somebody to really make this an effective combo (i.e. two credits). So if you buy just the pepper spray what you are left with is a player randomly shooting about, and you hoping you don't get shot while gunning them down.
Now it might work as a detective weapon, and instead of just blinding them it makes them drop whatever weapon their carrying. However, it still creates that problem of having a player now wanting to shoot randomly about.

For the Scanner 2.0, I don't think we need 2 items to do the same job, considering you get the scanner on spawn. I have always wanted side grades, multiple knives (that have disadvantages and advantages, but of course, only 1 knife). I would support multiple scanners if you got to choose which one you get on spawn, but considering you get one for free, this seems like a waste.
I don't think he means a separate DNA Scanner, but an updated version of the current one.

I know something like a skeleton key has been suggested in the past. Nothing seemed came about it back then. Maybe it can be implemented now? http://www.zombiemaster.org/smf/index.php?topic=9354.msg346162#msg346162
Scanner 2.0 seems like a nice upgrade perhaps. Not really needed, but it's not a bad idea.
