Or at least post the server you have been banned on. This forum ist not the official forum of any server. Find out the server name and find out where you can contact him, it is most likely the wrong place here.

A landmine might be fun if it's one of those "Once you stepped on them they won't blow up until you move again" types. Players would walk across it and hear a small *CLICK* and have to stop immediately or they'll get blown up. Then they have to hope that someone is coming to rescue them ".... Oh hey... You there.... Please disarm the landmine under me .... Yes come closer please I won't harm you .... wait .... what are you doing there?.... you can't disarm a landmine with a silenced pistol you idi-"

I love this in Resistance and Liberation where you can yell stuff to everyone whos around you.
It would add something interesting to TTT if you would add range limited voice and remove the traitors voice chat (maybe instead add a "whisper" button that let's you speak to only a smaller circle).
An innocent in the next room might still hear you though so be careful what you are saying.

I always thought of TTT like Mafia (not the pc game) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mafia_%28game%29
Actually, I described the game to people as "Mafia as a FPS".
There is also an detective in mafia though nobody knows who he is.
If nobody knows who the detective is he can be more powerful in regards of revealing who is a traitor, but a traitor might act like the detective aswell. If the detective gives away his identity he get's a high priority target for the traitors.
If the innocents would know who is the detective from the beginning they would all hoard around him. No fun

Ok I thought about a kind of a rating system, not sure if this would work but I'll tell you anyways:
How about if you could rate a player on the scoreboard, e.g. give him points wether you think he is innocent or traitor.
If several people think XY is supicious his tag will automatically switch to avoid. If someone is proven innocent by killing a traitor or a test lab and a few people mark him friendly he will show up for other people friendly aswell.

The major issue I see is when innocents have to kill AFKs. Grievers are a big issue but that can be fixed by admins banning. AFKs can not.
You're right but maybe there should be another solution for afk people. Maybe BKU could code something that kills an afk after standing around for a certain time without moving (and several warnings of cause)

So, one of the most annoying things happening in TTT when you are being killed by an innocent by a mere guess or no reason at all, also often refered as RDM. Most people, including me, only kill someone if they have a good reason to e.g. seeing him walking away from a dead unidentified body, killing other people etc.
Unfortunately, there are a whole bunch of people who think "he is looking suspicious" is a valid reason to kill someone.
So how can you get people to only kill people if they are more sure that someone is a traitor?
I say, let's punish innocents that kill other innocents.
"But Cze" you might say "He is already punished! The other people won't trust him and most likely kill him now" Of course that is true, but the idea behind my suggestion is to avoid the kill in the first place.
So my suggestion would be to lower the healthpoints of an innocent the round after he killed another innocent. If a person kills many innocents the last round, his chances this round might not be that good and maybe he'll ruin one of the eagerly awaited traitor rounds.
This thread does not have to be only about this idea, feel free to suggest your own ideas on how to control people that are too trigger happy in here.
tl;dr: Reduce HP of an innocent who killed another innocent in the next round by 20HP per kill, suggest your own ideas about topic

I tried it with de_lost2 but I could not get the map to work, it quits with a vertexbuffer error after loading the map, after I restart my pc I can play for a few seconds, then it will crash.
Anyone else experiencing this problems?

oh yeah I forgot the cave, maybe lower it a bit so you can't escape the water?
If only traitors where allowed to activate it, it would be a nice speed up for the endgame phase.
